i think one place to start is to learn how to fight, and to figure out what power you have where you are. how do you fight your boss? how do you fight your landlord? how do you fight the cops? first step might be to figure out who your friends are, and then get together - easier said than done. a lot of Marxists think the only organizing worth doing is labor organizing, but there's a lot more to do than that. Some of the most militant action from the Communist Party USA back during the Great Depression was organizing the unemployed to expropriate grocery stores to feed the hungry and to defend against cruel evictions.
