Every Friday!

Format

• 1h long arena
• 3|0 rated blitz
• Pairings by rating

Prizes

• First place: 3 months of Diamond
• Second place: 1 month of Diamond
• Third place: 1 month of Diamond 

+ 1 month of Diamond for a random participant who didn't get top three, but played at least 8 games during the Arena! 

Roles

• Winner gets @ Weekly Arena Winner - Achievement and gets to stay with it if they want
• Top 5 (standings) get a @ Top 5 - Weekly Arena role for the week, which hoists you up above Trusted in the user list. Afterwards, you'll get to flaunt your @ Weekly Arena Top 5 - Achievement role forever! 
• Top 20 (points) get the @ Arena Champ role during the month of their arena! (if there are more than 60 players)

Eligibility

To be eligible to win prizes and roles, you must:

1. Have an active Chess.com account connected to Discord
2. Be a member of the Chess.com discord server
3. Join in the Discord Club (which you clearly are)
4. Join the arena and play at least 8 games (3 if rapid) 
5. Pass our Fair Play checks 

* Titled players and staff are not eligible for the free diamond prizes. You already have it for life!

** If you win a first place prize, you can only win more months of free diamond once your gift runs out! 

Info

• The link to each arena will be on the Events tab on Discord every week, as well as on the Upcoming Events tab here on the club. Sign-ups start 1 hour before the arena starts.
• No cheating accusations are allowed on the forums, in public forums or in this club's spaces, don't worry, we will be checking the tourney for Fair Play.
• The prizes will be given on the following week, after fair play checks.

Should make the games fair according to elo, I was getting paired all the time (except 3) with 900+ elo players (mostly 1200 - 2200) which is unfair because it just eliminates the chances of low elo players winning

Yeah same. I get paired with people twice my elo, so I stopped playing. It's not very interesting to just lose chess games for an hour
