I am glad to see some new members.  I encourage everyone to participate in any vote chess matches that are going on and if there are any challenges you would like to see, then send a message to one of the admins.

I also encourage you to use these forums to share source code and tips on programming.  Have fun!

I acutally found you baecause one of my other groups was playing vote chess against you and when I saw your name, I decided to join because I like programming. (even if I'm not very good)

I am in the same boat as you are in terms of programming, but I am sure you want to get better, also like me.

Whats the most complicated programm you've ever made? Mine was a mouse escape. It has moving panels and a tutorial.

I made a program to make shopping lists quick and easy.  It stores all the items in a sequential file and allows you to print.  I want to upgrade it to be able to use a db, but I havn't yet because my wife hates when I program.  What does the mouse escape do exactly?

My most sophisticated software was -- well, it's hard to say.  I've been at it for a while.  I wrote some Optical Character Recognition code.  That was kind of interesting.  I wrote code to compute the set of non-isomorphic graphs of size 11 or less (technically, it can go further than size 11, but already at size 11, the set is large enough that I had trouble fitting the described set on my hard drive).  On my off time, I am working on writing an automated theorem prover.

And for Google, I write software to help them organize their internal information.

it's pretty simple, It's a game where you guide your mouse cursor through a maze from start to finish. You lose if you touch the black. It gives you your time, but I lost interest during the creation of level 5 and never got to implementing the feature that stores your best times. Maybe I should start working on it again. The first four levels are perfectly playable with moving platforms. I had planned for later levels to have keys you needed to find in order to get to the end. (actually level 5 has that. Level 5 has been designed, but only programmed a little.

It sounds like a fun game.  You should revisit it.  I am sure you will have a bunch of new ideas for it.
