Like Tolkein books or in general?

Hannah_Stanfield

In general

Ok, well currently, I'm reading a book on Virginia History, and I've been reading Richard Maybury's World War 2 book a lot recently.

Hannah_Stanfield

So you enjoy history?

Those sound cool. Are they good?

History, and especially geography, but geography is better for just looking at maps and randomly learning about, and history is better for reading for fun.

I just finished a  middle grade adventure novel called Glitch my Laura Martin, and I've been reading through the series of Unfortunate Event by Lemony Snicket and Beyonders by Brandon Mull (I read a lot of middle grade tongue.png)

Me too. But I also just like reading straight-up history.

I haven't read any of those. I really read basically no fiction besides historical fiction.

Hannah_Stanfield

Wow

That's probably a lot better XD

I hardly ever actually read through historical books like that

I like fantasy

I really liked LOTR, but I really haven't read much else in terms of fantasy, and what I have read didn't really interest me. I just prefer history. Even in my writing, most of the things I choose to write about in school is history, and my largest writing project(which was for fun) was about part of the history of one of my made-up countries.

Hannah_Stanfield

I guess it make sense that you'd like the LOTR because he puts so much history and backstory into it.

Yeah. That's why I liked the Silmarillion even more.

Hannah_Stanfield

Yeah

I listened to the Silmarillion and it reminded me a lot of a history book, which I guess it sort of was

I also started a series called The Unwanteds

Hannah_Stanfield

What did you think of the Series of Unfortunate Events?
