knights are better in closed positions because they can jump around the blocked pieces; the bishop is better in open positions because there are no pieces blocking the bishop, that way the bishop can reach a long range.
it depends on the position of knight in locked up position, i mean if you get something like this
the bishop is obviously better
AND THE POSITION IS LOCKED UP
- the position is not locked up, the kingside is locked up
- this bishop is a good bishop since all the pawns or on light squares and it is a dark-squared bishop
- this doesn't show how a bishop can doinate a knight, that's a better example:
