What happened to Ed?

I heard some things about the game inventor I hope are not true.

He had a heart attack.

Someone proved somebody else invented his variant.

He shot somebody who tried to steal his car.

Does anyone know what happened?

Ed had a serious heart condition that required surgery, but this wasn’t a heart attack. He seems to be recovered now. Ed certainly invented Gothic Chess, now called Trice’s Chess. Nobody EVER separated the King and Queen before. That was his “thinking out of the box” innovation. Someone tried to carjack his Tesla, but nobody was shot. The carjacker was one-punched into unconsciousness. That dude was also high as a kite, which makes beating them up easier.

I know this is old news. Ed did invent Gothic and some internet discussion board ranters keep confusing it with Capablanca Chess. They try to pretend it’s the same thing when they know full well it isn’t. Bizarre cads those blokes.
