Hello! I don't believe there's a "best" opening. However, there are good and bad openings, as engines taught us with the objective evaluations (Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Scotch, French are objectively openings that lead to a balanced game and the Englund Gambit and others just lead one side to an objectively worse/lost position). However, even bad openings can work against bad prepared players, specially is short time-controls. I enjoy the King's Gambit a lot and I think it's my favorite opening (maybe is this what you're trying to ask).

There is no specific 'best opening.' It really depends on your play style, what your opponent plays, and if you are playing black or white. There are openings that are refuted at the higher level though. Can you specify what type of opening your looking for? E.g. - e4, d4, other, white or black

I am a mixed style player who can play absolutely everything, I am both a positional player and an attacker, but as a player I am better positional
