What is the best time control for a USCF Rated tournament?

Online I enjoy blitz times like G/7 abd rapid times like 12/2.
OTB I like G/30 or G/15.
When I began playing in USCF tournaments a long time ago, we played 40 in 2 hours and 20 an hour thereafter. Somehow we finished tournaments in good shape.
