What is the Fried Liver Attack?

The Fried Liver Attack is a highly tactical variation of the Italian Opening.  The move sequence is characterized in the diagram below.  White sacrifices a knight for a pawn, and in return gets a superior position and an advantage in tempo.

The correct continuation is below.  After Nb4, white has some options.  I have been playing castling in this situation usually, which was recommended in an article in Chess Life a few months back.  Qe4 is also often played in this position.

Many weaker players will not play 7...Ke6, in which case white can gain an immediate advantage.

the main line after exd5 is either Na5 attacking the Bishop or b5

yes
