I’ve never heard of tournaments barring lower rated players from playing in open tournaments.
What is this madness?
I mean, it literally says “open”
im talking about open sections, the highest sections in the tournament
Guys, soo many different tournaments have this. Just stop crying like a baby and get over it.
there is so little space between 1900 and 2000! Also, the players are mostly UNDER 1800!

why cant they have an over 1700 section and a u2000 or an over 1900 section and a u2200
what about people under 1700

like, the vast majority are u1800!
You have to prove yourself against underrated children before they let you play with adults.
you probably mean 1400-1700

You could ask. “Hey I’d like to join the open section, is it possible for me to do so even though I’m only 1818 rating”?

they are literally only letting me play against u1800s!
That's because nobody above 1900 wants to play U2000. Just get over it they can do anything about it

they will stick to theeir rules, however stupid they may be, and say no
Well it may not be fair per say, so just git gud. Why should you play 2000s if you haven’t proven yourself capable of handling against 2000 opponents?
they literally just want me to play against lower rated players only!

Does it explicitly say “if you are under 1900 you cannot play in the open tournament” or what?
