People who worry about their ratings aren't that interested in playing chess.

Also does anyone know why this guy doesn't just go to open tournaments, anyone can play in an open section. That's why it's called "open," not "over 2000." Obviously you aren't playing in tournaments with a real open section.

Seems to me that the basis for the complaint is the rating system.  Since the rating system rewards those who beat considerably higher rated players and punishes those who lose against considerably lower rated players, the complainer wants tournaments structured to protect him against losing to lower rated players.

In that case, maybe his rating is not indicative of his current playing ability.

It's always indicative.  And the true test of getting better is consistently beating lower-rated players, not the occasional win against a high-rated player.

And... unfollowing.

Gee, thanks for letting us know.

I basically agree with you King_of_Checkmates. I mean 1400s,1500s,1600s, and 1700s have a lot of people who are playing world rated people over 2000. But there are very few people who have 1800s and 1900s to compete against people over 2000. What is this???!!!!surprise.pngsurprise.pngsurprise.pngsurprise.pngsurprise.png. ( Ment surprise.) This should be the other way around so that there is actually a fair and nice game.wink.pngwink.pngwink.pngevil.pnghappy.png
