However I do not see how spatial inteliigence can be helpful to chess. Can you please enlighten me?

allow me. spatial intelligence deals with visualization. in chess, you must visualize te outcome of a tactical combination, or predict your opponent's next move.
and that's cool because i actually plan to be an architect someday

calculation in a particular move in Chess = Visualization + Memory + someOtherThings
you may have observed that, the more deep (move forward) you try to calculate, the more it gets difficult to to see the chessPosition - most of the time you're hindered by memory, i.e. conflict occurs between different variations (say, 5 moves latter you're planning to move 5.Nd5, but after moving 3rd move, Nd5 is now 2 move forward and now you understand that Nd5 isnt even a legal move in this variation - its a move of another side variation). when your memory sucessfully captured the things, your mind visualizes the positions before you, and you choose better move by comparing them.

Well, I took " spatial intelligence" as another thing.
If this is what you mean, then I agree, although I think it is a matter of training and memory.

I have been tested several times from middle school until about four years ago and I have attained a consistent 139/141. If only that made me smart.
