When will pakistan have a GM

Pakistan should have a GM by now right ? But no there are none, I think more Pakistanis should join chess and enjoy it maybe one day we will have GM

I could have tried. But I never knew chess was big in pakistan. Never heard of it. I got to know about chess in August,2023. I made an account in Sep and played for 3 months, rating was 1000 and left. After 6 months I re-appear, With this account, and now after playing for another 3 months I went from 1100 to 1400. Soon I will be a 1900 but that is a far stretched image for me. There are many like me so no one knows when Spirit awakens among the players.

Brother the govt. Has started helping the chess community. If you were connected to CFP WhatsAPP group you would know that literally last month people from all over the world came in Pakistan and started a new Program to help Chess players.

We are already dominating fighting games. Chess is seen as more of a nerdy game. Not a lot of people going into chess.

There's a simple answer as to why there's no Pakistani GM, because there's little to no scope for Chess being a career path here. We already have a billion things to worry about, Chess just isn't one of them, neither is it something we can afford to give priority to. As for when, a GM rank might take a very long time to reach, unless someone is already practicing for it. I'd honestly be happy to settle with a Pakistani NM or IM given the circumstances, but there might be some with that title, I'm not aware of who they are. Maybe hosting more tournaments and good coaching opportunities can help people get there.
