When you forget you're playing koth

omg relatable AF but for me it was the other way around; one time I was playing a blitz game and I thought it was Koth. I was so confused when I didn't win after my king got to the center. xD

It's also happened to me that I forget what variant I'm playing or forget that I'm playing a variant.  I find it's easier to forget what variant I'm playing if the setup is similar to that of standard chess than when the setup is very different.  I mean if the setup is very different from standard chess then the position itself reminds me that I'm playing a variant.

Once, I thought that I was playing antichess but I was playing the other variant where you can capture your pieces. I was so confused when he didn't take my pawn.
