I'll see if I can post something interesting and Biblical so that the group can still get a dose of God. From my point of view is is nothing wrong with trying to influence people to the path of salvation. However, once they have stated they're offended by us I think we're supposed to quit trying to save their souls from the fire online, though not in real life, I don't think. I could be way off. You can still personal messages, right? Just not post in notes and forums? Sorry if I am way off on this.

Dan, it's that a rule is we're not openly allowed to preach to anyone.
The rules of chess.com can be seen, though as I write here in reply to you I don't know to tell you where you can go to see them.
I consciously don't instigate any conversation with anyone on chess.com about The LORD fully understanding I could be banned. If someone asks me then that is different.
Any can see by my user name that I am a Christian and we can and should be an example of HIM by our conduct here towards any and everyone.
I have been blocked before in the past though I did nothing to warrant it.
When I was, I emailed chess.com and it was put right with an apology. Though I still don't know why it happened.
We need to be aware that even The LORD'S Name is enough to provoke some people.
And Wesley, Otávio is one of our Admin here on Philemon verse 6, along with Joe.
We really need to get to know one another here, and using our names rather than user names. Afterall we are to be as One in The Body, HIS Church and accordingly having the same love and care for one another as Christians.

I thought we could still preach just not harass anyone with constant preaching when they told us to please stop it.
Ideally Dan yes, but it takes just one to complain that we've even mentioned The LORD to them or attempted to talk of Salvation and to chess.com we have broken their rule and what has happened with our Brother Otávio will happen to us.
It does seem a double standard, that one can speak of GOD to us in their ignorance to The Truth in their chosing to blaspheme or to mock us for their own entertainment but when they do we are the ones held accountable and punished for breaking the rules if we attempt to tell them what they actually do need to know to understand.
What they cannot begin to grasp is that what we do when we speak according to The Truth is from love. Both for our LORD and for them, both GOD'S toward them and ours.
But that is the way it is. We are in the world and when on a secular site we need to obey their rules or risk being removed from it.
As I've said before, I never instigate a conversation about Spiritual matters with a non believer here on chess.com but I will gladly answer when asked.
My user name states I am a Christian, so if it is in their heart to ask then they know I'm one they can ask. But for my part, no matter what I may come up against, mine is to always look to bear The Testimony Of JESUS, word and deed, 1 Peter 2:18-25, as should all who name themselves as believers in GOD Through JESUS CHRIST. Romans 12:1-3

But what does It Say? "The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart" - that is, the word of faith which we are preaching,... Romans 10:6-8.
We have a responsibility, an obligation before GOD to die to the flesh and present as having been transformed by the renewing of our mind, that we may prove what The Will Of GOD Is.
This comes from what is The Goal of our Instruction, a pure (Cleansed) heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith (1 Timothy 1:5-11), that we all, being as One having been perfected in unity, that the world may know JESUS has been Sent into the world to Save those in it.
Some will always flatly refuse even the existence Of GOD, some will change their thinking on however they think and whatever they have maybe always believed in and some will always be curios as to JESUS. But all these things are of no importance to us, ours is to be to preach JESUS CHRIST and HIM Crucified, to bear The Witness of HIM in our mortal bodies; word and deed. As the Apostle Paul says, 'For me to live is CHRIST and to die is gain.'
He also says, 'Only conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of The Gospel Of CHRIST... ...standing firm in One spirit, with one mind striving together for The faith of The Gospel; in no way alarmed by your opponents - which is a sign of destruction for them, but of Salvation for you, and that, From GOD... Philippians 1.
But sadly, as we see not only here on chess.com with professing Christians but in all the world also there are many who do not hold to GOD'S Truth, they do not even truly understand it, though they believe that they do. Yet clearly they do not because they fight and argue amongst themselves and with others, with differing standpoints, views and interpretations and in it all blindly allowing the flesh to prevail, not knowing true repentance, true humility. How can the world believe GOD through them when the world sees them as no different to themselves, but only with trying to preach to them as they see it a religion in The Name of JESUS?! These professing Christians do no service to GOD or to the lost and neither help themselves in relation to their own Salvation.
If it is in the heart of any to seek to know JESUS then maybe, knowing that we are Christian they may, here, ask us. But let us have the heart and mind of a man such as the Apostle Paul, that for us, to live is CHRIST and nothing or no one else, especially our own selves in any form of pride and arrogance. One In HIM that the world may know, even when we are restricted by its rules.
And once we have done The Will Of GOD we may Receive what HE has Promised to those who love HIM, Eternal Life. By Grace through faith.
Sometimes, as hard as it is, we need to turn the other cheek, walk away, being mindful that here, on a secular site we need to abide by and remember their rules and even that by being Christian we have a balance of the rules which are actually against us: they can mention our GOD to us in their attacking or mocking us but we cannot defend HIM by speaking of The Hope that is in us because, if that one then complains we are preaching to them then we are banned, as happened to our Brother Otávio.
We are all learning. Let it always be as an example of JESUS CHRIST to the praise and Glory of GOD through us and an example to those who attack us that may indeed see, even if they do not see.

Not because I say so, but because GOD Says it is so. And I believe HIM.
If I see error, if I see people walking the broad way that leads to Destruction, if I see error in the interpretation of Scripture then I cannot keep silent.
If to some what I write is too much then it can be either I am writing utter nonsense and I like the sound of my own voice, or in arrogance I believe something of myself, or, it can be that their hearts are far from GOD and even though they profess to believe in and follow HIM, they cannot hear HIS Word, cannot be bothered to examine everything carefully so as to know a spirit of truth from a spirit of error or it is just too difficult for them to either understand or accept.
We can choose which one it is when someone takes time to write and state something in The Name of a Christian, and by our own choices we either stand or fall.
I write enough on a matter so that none have excuse and there is no ambiguity in my words. Also that in the matter I am innocent before GOD. Those that refuse GOD'S Truth, their blood is on their own head.
None of us will have excuse on That Day. GOD Says that it is so.
I know what I see.
Time is short and the days are evil.
Even if I am just one in a thousand I will not keep silent.
Others can mock if they choose, but if they do, their mocking will turn into weeping and gnashing of teeth, just as their confession of believing in GOD Through JESUS CHRIST will, if they have not known repentance according to GOD and have lived believing accordingly. And that is for us all, no partiality.
The LORD Willing I will post soon on discipleship tested, and yes, it will not be a two second read for the convenience of those who want to receive without the effort of giving their time to seek true understanding that they may know.
When reading, to understand takes time to read and enough words, as many are as required, in order to be able to examine everything carefully in order to discern truth from error in what is being stated and with no contradictions as according to GOD.
But then seeking to understand Truth from the many lies and deceptions is what is required of all Christians in their walk with GOD. And HE Through HIS SPIRIT Will Teach us.
Everyone who asks Receives and he who seeks Finds and to him who knocks it shall be Opened.
It always has been for followers of GOD Through JESUS CHRIST, because HE Says that it is so. And to know to actually see The Witness of JESUS CHRIST in believers shows it to be true.
They will never want to accept what is not Of GOD In Truth.
I see many teachers and preachers, respected and followed by millions who profess faith in JESUS CHRIST. And I see the errors of their teachings, and also that they do not seek to warn so that Godly warnings are heard. Often it is through wanting to be accepted. Fearing being rejected.
But still they are followed and believed on. And my boasting is in The LORD. I understand that I am nothing. I am a nobody.
One day soon we all are going to be standing before The LORD to give account of all we have done and all that we did not do. GOD Warns of this throughout HIS Word.
I tell you the truth, there will be many who find themselves not Chosen as they believed of themselves; because they did not truly know repentance; because they did not know to not love their own lives even to death; because they worshiped GOD with their lips and their hearts were far away from HIM. They never knew the fear of The LORD. They never knew to truly love HIM.
A genuine faith only is what leads to our obtaining as the outcome of that faith; the Salvation of our soul.

Wholeheartedly agree. Sometimes I see long comments and go like, "I don't want to take the time and read this!" but these are different.
I can understand that, and that there may be and is a lot of people who write much, which on reading will seem to prove to be a waste of time. But if it does then we'll just learn very quickly not to listen to that one again
I too don't read books or follow other teachers and preachers because The LORD Is my Teacher and I only need my Bible. This is my prayer and faith in HIM.
Whenever I post something it is most often in reply to something that I've heard or experienced as a believer in CHRIST, and I don't ever want to be one speaking from myself.
I only want to speak for GOD'S Truth and HIM to be known in the midst of the many lies, deceptions, false teachings and beliefs. And as I write The LORD Teaches me too.

In Christ God Bless you Paul. He Is Indeed Good and others are Blessed because He Has Blessed you. So many wonderful Scriptures come to mind and words I could say, but one says it all, faith.
Some of you may be wondering what has happened with our Brother, Otávio and all his notes and comments disappearing.
Earlier today Steph (1Charis) and I were having a conversation and she brought up that it was strange what had happened with Otávio.
She said that she would write to him.
Steph quickly got a reply from Otávio in which he wrote and explained,
"4 days ago I was watching some games and in the game chat some people were making fun of God. Then I started preaching without offending anyone, respecting everyone and never using foul language or anything. As it turns out, at least one person reported me and chess.com muted me for 7 days. God willing in like 3 days I will be back typing in the group.
I can read every message there but I cannot write anything. I tried to explain in a polite way to the moderators there via the e-mail they sent me but apparently I will have to wait until these 7 days come to an end.
God bless you, my dear friend."
The LORD Willing Otávio will be back on and able to share with us again very soon.
We just need to be mindful that we're here on a secular site which has strict rules that we need to be careful of not breaking, even in all innocence.
The enemy will look to do anything to disrupt or even destroy our being on here as Christians and we just need to be extra careful in being aware of and not breaking the rules of chess.com.
