Which do you prefer, the knight or the bishop?

I know everyone has their own preferences, but I’d like to ask you all anyway. Do you prefer knight? Or do you prefer bishop? Please let me know your reasons as well.

I like Knights. But this question totally depends on the position of the game. Sometimes a Knight dominates the Bishop and vice versa. Generally, a Bishop pair is much more stronger than a Knight pair.

It's largely subjective in my opinion. I don't really prefer either. A Bishop is generally better in an open position, but, if the position is closed, a Knight would be better. A Knight is good at maneuvering and blocking; it complements the Queen very well; and it is the only piece that delivers unblockable check and smothered checkmate. Also, Knights guard the King readily.

Bishops are relatively one-dimensional, but they have range. Diagonal range allows them to stop or hold multiple connected passed pawns simultaneously
