King pawn openings: more aggressive, tactical, unbalanced.
d4 is better when a draw is enough or the opponent strong and unpredictable.
c4 the same, if one is ready to transpose.
Personnal preferences, of course; opening preference is mostly a question of taste. I don't remember which GM said "d4 and you may resign".
Greetings,
Which is your favourite opening strategy and why do you like it so much?
To be quite honest, i like the old school King's Pawn Opening because that's the only one strategy i think i know what i should do next. I do try other kinds, but i feel a fear in my heart when i do so, but not with the King's Opening, with this, i feel strong!
Cheers and have a happy time,
