But if erik wants to pay me, I'm not going to say no! hahaha
Who Hates V3 the MOST? (Contest maybe...?)

I haven't sold out, Lawdog. I'm just being honest on my own experience. I can't speak for you or others here. It's not perfect, but Erik is trying to keep improving it. E.g. He has promised me that once V2 is shutdown, we will be able to specify a group size range in open team match seeks. Something I've been requesting for a few years now. So that groups too small or too large accept open team match seeks. Plus also a rating average range feature. I'll be a very happy gal when that arrives..

That would be another nice feature to have.
But like most of my feature requests and many others' .. v3 is not a requirement to make them happen.
These all could have happened under the v2 umbrella of code and user interface.
Even in the 'classic' view, .. unless they've changed it again recently, I'm not happy with the performance aspect of v3. I still stick to v2 to this day.

They didn't want to upgrade V2 features once V3 was on the go, which is understandable. V3 has just taken much longer than anyone anticipated. Erik said that the above added features are blocked on V3 until V2 is taken down. That feature will be a Godsend, so now I can't wait for V2 to be made redundant.
What's the problem you're experiencing with the classic view?

- Oh, it just takes anywhere from 4~7x the amount of time for me to accomplish the same tasks in v3 that I can/do do in v2.
- Icons. A gazillion icons.
- No quaint yellow-box on the landing page to highlight all the alerts I need to pay attention to.
- Poor pagination.
- "You might be interested in following ..." interrupts REAL actual Activity I'm trying to get to beneath all the adverts for stuff from Hikaru and umpteen million other GMs and their pictures.
- Frikken huge BANNERs sprawling across premium widget space, effectively taking up 1/3rd to 1/2 the space needed for other content.
- v3 does not highlight in red text color which games need my immediate attention (i.e., My Move) as v2 succinctly does.
- Speed. v2's page load times are STILL a fraction of those in v3. A fraction... getting back to my 4~7x time wasted comment above.
- Typing.. something as simple as typing takes LONGER for key-echo's to come back to my screen. Recent adjustments to the v3 code have improved this recently, but, my typing is still far smoother in v2 than v3.
- ... shall I go on?

Yes, please do.
Please don't, you have already depressed me enough.
But, for the record, it might pay to complete the list, if you have a few weeks to spare.

I don't.. and the items from there are the minute differences that, added up, still entail a great deal of difference. Such as the placement of "Groups" in the v2 User Interface layout. New comers to the site can easily find and understand the purpose of "groups" in v2.
In v3, "Clubs" is buried in the "Share" menu. Yeah, same as v2, except v2's User Interface comes with a direct sub-line of "Make friends and play team games!" by-line. v3's "Clubs" is buried, indiscriminantly amongst a plethora of other sub-headings. Without a byline or other discriminant piece of information, a new comer has little to no clue what "Clubs" means. Sure, it has an 👥 icon next to it, but other than that, what is it? Is that geographically local stuff?

Minute stuff, but pertinent stuff.

Are Clubs accessible on the chess.com app? I can't see them in the menu list. And also 'new comments'?

I don't know. I gave up on the chess.com app after they included a chess engine and other cheater-usable functions in one of the latest editions.
I only use the browser in my mobile device which makes using v3 probably even more uncomfortable.

I used to, but my daughter sold it to a wrecker for $50, and it had a new battery worth $150.
She believes in not keeping any rubbish.
But, she could have removed the battery at least!
V3 has some fantastic features. Loving the drills! And no, I haven't been hired/paid/bribed/conned to say this! haha
I've actually switched over. If you put www.chess.com/classic into your url, your page will look very similar to V2. Live chess is still lagging for me, and I've lost a LOT of games on time, because I simply couldn't even move, until about the 13th click! I'm having IT come and check out my iMac in the next couple of weeks, to try to help speed up performance. My computer is now 3 years old, and has been thrashed, so needs a little loving invested into it.

There are some design elements I am not fond off, but I am very fond of some of the added features when it comes to chess itself. A worthy trade off.
