Spacebux, are you sure you don't have a memory issue on your own computer? I used to get a similar looking page on my old computer when the memory was getting full.

As I mentioned, chess_k, I cleared my cache and reloaded to have the same result. I went back to my safe space called "v2". My problems went away and I was back to doing chess stuff.
Windoze 8.1, Mozilla Firefox. JDCannon has seen it in person. He mentioned it was newer and higher spec than his laptop.
I'm on MS-DOS 8.0. I believe the year is 2000, and I just upgraded to DOSLynx 2.8.9dev.16 which was released in July. I always keep my browser bang up to date.

...then it's too new...
The fact that we're even engaging in such discussion is problematic itself.
v2 NEVER had issues with browser version, OS version, cache... and it still doesn't!
Its true, i am pretty involved. I spend a lot of time trying to find causes for the bugs you all tell us about.
As a follow up to JD (who I am working closely with) -- I am a Member Support Advanced Tech Specialist with Chess.com. If you are having persistent technical issues related to connection, slowness, or other uncommon issues, I'm here to help gather data and provide solutions. This would mean that we would connect one-on-one in a private computer session where I can troubleshoot your issue. If you are interested in doing this, please reach out to me with a private message and we will schedule a time!
Question: when did chess.com announce v3 was coming? More than 2 years ago? Or more than 3 years ago? And it was obviously in the planning stages before it was announced. So, in all that time, the bugs have not been completely eradicated? I am 70 years old and not tech savvy, yet I have found v2 excellent, v3, not. Reluctant to change at my age. Ever hear the phrase "If it ain't broke, don't fix it"? You took something that was not broke and you broke it!! And the statement that 98% are using v3 is very deceptive. New members are forced into v3 and I end up in v3 without wanting to be there, for example, when I log in at the library or without choice when clicking on some other options.
I still just don't get it. If this V3 was supposed to make live chess better, you can only move so fast. Being a person who does move fast , I never thought V2 was slow to begin with. I have brought many people to this site over the years with and without accolades, but cannot do this till I feel it worth it for other people to shell out dough. This has made the wife happy though as I am not here as much. Keep trying Eric and co. I have to agree with Flabbi. Being almost 60 I say why fix something not broken?
Wow. Chess.com is REALLY dogging it this morning. I cannot get a page to load for the life of me... I may be 70 years old before I can get a post up at this rate.
v2 is just as slow as v3 now, except v2 still loads completely, faster. I.e., I had to wait 40+ seconds for v3 to show me a Insert-text-widget-box here.
v2 load time: Finish: 47.46s DOMContentLoaded: 34.60s load: 35.75s
v3 load time: Finish: 3.41 min DOMContentLoaded: 5.21s (which is a misnomer as it's only a partial load) load: 5.94s
I don't know what you guys are doing, but my Home Page in v3 won't even load completely now. I posted this in a forum thread in v3's Beta Group.. but this is untenable. Scrap what you're doing and get back to plain, vanilla v2.
I got to look at this beautiful screen for well over a minute before I could get the remaining fields and actually insert an image here.
I have compared v3 to the game called "Confuse a cat", where you shine a laser light on the wall and then watch kitty going insane trying to grab it.

Precisely, and I quote from a post elsewhere by a very prominent, meaning right up there, person on chess.com, as it bears out what you say:
"That is no longer true and hasn't been since v3 went to the default (well, at least since you had to be logged into v3 to even get to v2 at the latest ). "
took 10 seconds for your snip to load...
do you also get oversized letters where icons should be, before the icons load up?
I haven't been paying close enough attention to that, so I cannot say.
