Tiger Woods Hurt in Car Crash

PGA Star Released from Hospital in Good Condition after Hitting a Tree Near His Fla. Mansion

Tiger Woods was injured early Friday when he lost control of his SUV outside his Florida mansion, and a local police chief said Woods' wife used a golf club to smash out the back window to help get him out.

The world's No. 1 golfer was treated and released from a hospital in good condition, his spokesman said. The Florida Highway Patrol said Woods' vehicle hit a fire hydrant and a tree in his neighbor's yard after he pulled out of his driveway at 2:25 a.m.

Windermere police chief Daniel Saylor told The Associated Press that officers found the 33-year-old PGA star lying in the street with his wife, Elin, hovering over him.

"She was frantic, upset," Saylor said in a briefing Friday night. "It was her husband laying on the ground."

She told officers she was in the house when she heard the accident and "came out and broke the back window with a golf club," he said, adding that the front-door windows were not broken and that "the door was probably locked."

"She supposedly got him out and laid him on the ground," he said. "He was in and out of consciousness when my guys got there."

Saylor said Woods had lacerations to his upper and lower lips, and blood in his mouth; officers treated Woods for about 10 minutes until an ambulance arrived. Woods was conscious enough to speak, he said.

"He was mumbling, but didn't say anything coherent," Saylor said.

The Florida Highway Patrol said alcohol was not involved, although the accident remains under investigation and charges could be filed.

Woods was alone in his 2009 Cadillac when he pulled out of his driveway from his mansion at Isleworth, a gated waterfront community just outside Orlando, the patrol said.

Woods' injuries were described as serious in the patrol's report, though his spokesman, Glenn Greenspan, issued a statement that Woods was treated and released.

Left unanswered was where Woods was going at that hour. Greenspan and agent Mark Steinberg said there would be no comment beyond the short statement of the accident posted on Woods' Web site.

Saylor said his responding officers did not hear anything about an alleged argument between Woods and his wife.

"Right now we believe this is a traffic crash. We don't believe it is domestic issue," patrol spokesman Sgt. Kim Montes said.

Woods, coming off a two-week trip to China and Australia earlier this month, is host of the Chevron World Challenge in Thousand Oaks, Calif., which starts Thursday. He is scheduled to have his press conference Tuesday afternoon at Sherwood Country Club. Steinberg said he did not know if Woods planned to play next week.

The Florida Highway Patrol said tapes of the 911 call won't be released until they can be reviewed, probably Monday at the earliest.

The accident report was not released until nearly 12 hours after Woods was injured. Montes said the accident did not meet the criteria of a serious crash, and the FHP only put out a press release because of inquiries from local media.

Montes said the patrol reports injuries as serious if they require more than minor medical attention. Air bags in the SUV did not deploy.

Two troopers tried to talk to Woods on Friday evening, but his wife said he was sleeping and they agreed to come back Saturday, Montes said.

She said charges could be filed if there was a clear traffic violation, although troopers still do not know what caused Woods' SUV to hit the hydrant and the tree.

Damage to the front of Woods' SUV was described as "medium" by Saylor.

"Not real extensive, but not real light," he said.

Woods rarely faces such private scrutiny, even as perhaps the most famous active athlete in the world.

He usually makes news only because of what he can do with a golf club. Few other athletes have managed to keep their private lives so guarded, or have a circle of friends so airtight when it comes to life off the course.

His wife was awarded a $183,250 settlement and an apology from an Irish magazine that published a fake nude photo of her, and Woods received a $1.6 million settlement in a lawsuit against the builder of his yacht — named Privacy — for using his name and photos of the boat as promotional material.

Woods is approaching $100 million in career earnings on the PGA Tour, and Forbes magazine reported that combined with endorsements, appearance fees and golf course design, he has become the first athlete to top $1 billion.

Woods' $2.4 million home is part of an exclusive subdivision near Orlando, a community set on an Arnold Palmer-designed golf course and a chain of small lakes. The neighborhood, which is fortified with high brick walls and has its own security force, is home to CEOs and other sports stars such as the NBA's Shaquille O'Neal.

Woods, who has won 82 times around the world and 14 majors, attended the Stanford-Cal football game last Saturday, where he tossed the coin at the start of the game and was inducted into Stanford's sports Hall of Fame at halftime.

He won six times this year after missing eight months recovering from reconstructive surgery on his left knee. Even though he failed to win a major, Woods said he considered this a successful year because he did not know how his knee would respond.

(CNN) -- Golfer Tiger Woods apologized Wednesday for "transgressions" that let his family down -- the same day a gossip magazine published a report alleging he had an affair.

"I have let my family down and I regret those transgressions with all of my heart. I have not been true to my values and the behavior my family deserves," he said in a statement on his official Web site.

Woods did not admit to an affair and offered no details about the "transgressions" in his statement.

"I am not without faults and I am far short of perfect. I am dealing with my behavior and personal failings behind closed doors with my family. Those feelings should be shared by us alone."

US Weekly magazine printed a report Wednesday alleging that Woods had an affair with Jaimee Grubbs, whom it identified as a 24-year-old cocktail waitress. The magazine also published what it says is a voice mail message from Woods to Grubbs.

"Hey, it's Tiger," a man says in the recording. "I need you to do me a huge favor. Can you please take your name off your phone? My wife went through my phone and may be calling you.

"So if you can, please take your name off that. ... What do you call it? Just have it as a number on the voice mail. Just have it as your telephone number. That's it, OK? You got to do this for me. Huge. Quickly. All right. Bye."

CNN could not independently confirm that the voice on the recording was Woods.

Attention has been focused on Woods since he crashed his SUV outside his Florida home last week. Investigators say he crashed the vehicle into a fire hydrant and tree. Woods was not required to talk to police about the wreck, and declined to talk with investigators on several occasions.

Woods' attorney, Mark Nejame, declined to comment on reports of an affair Tuesday night, saying he was hired to represent Woods in the traffic case.

The Florida Highway Patrol said Tuesday that it cited Woods for careless driving -- the golfer paid a $164 fine -- and closed its investigation.

The golfer said Wednesday that he was "dismayed to realize the full extent of what tabloid scrutiny really means" for him, his wife, modelElin Nordegren, and their children -- a 2-year old daughter, Sam, and a 9-month old son, Charlie.

"For the last week, my family and I have been hounded to expose intimate details of our personal lives. The stories in particular that physical violence played any role in the car accident were utterly false and malicious. Elin has always done more to support our family and shown more grace than anyone could possibly expect. "

The 33-year-old golf phenomenon has won the Masters tournament and the PGA tournament each four times, as well as three U.S. Open titles.

Grubbs is the second woman to be romantically linked to Woods through news reports this week.

The National Enquirer reported a few days before Woods' crash that the golfer was having an affair with a New York nightclub hostess -- an assertion the hostess vigorously denied Tuesday, according to The New York Post. The woman said a disgruntled acquaintance sold the story to the supermarket tabloid and that "not a word of it is true."

See what people are saying

George Merlis, president of Experience Media Consulting Group in Los Angeles, California, said Woods should have said more after last week's accident.

"I think he needed to get out in front of the story very early on, because if you don't get out in front of something like this, you give free rein to speculation," he said.

Asked whether the allegations might scare off Woods' sponsors, Merlis said, "If I were a businessman contemplating doing a really expensive endorsement deal with him, I would think twice."

Nike, Gatorade, Gillette and other sponsors said Wednesday they would continue their relationships with Woods.

It's a triple bogey for embattled golfer Tiger Woods.

Kalika Moquin , a Las Vegas nightclub executive has become the third woman linked to the world's top golfer.

But Moquin is not ready to kiss and tell. "It's not appropriate for me to comment one way or the other," she told Life & Style magazine.

"At this time, I'm just choosing to focus on my job."

Moquin, a hot brunette marketing manager for The Bank nightclub in Las Vegas, hooked up with Woods more than once at his Las Vegas hotel during the weekend of Oct. 23, the magazine reported.

They cited "an insider" as its source. "They've hooked up a bunch of times," Life & Style's unnamed source said.

"Tiger told Kalika that married life isn't all it's built up to be. He said he wasn't happy in his marriage or his home life and that there was just so much pressure on him."

Club promoter Rachel Uchitel, 34, and Los Angeles cocktail waitress Jaimee Grubbs, 23, have also been named in reports as women with whom Woods, who has groomed a squeaky clean reputation, has cheated on his wife of five years, Elin Nordegren.

Woods' representatives would not comment, the magazine reported.

The allegations of tryst with Moquin, come as Grubbs claimed to have a long and tawdry affair with the golf great and said she had photos and hundreds of "racy" text messages to prove it.

"Send me something very naughty," Woods reportedly wrote in a text message that Grubbs turned over to Us Weekly. "Go to the bathroom and take ."

"I will wear you out," Woods reportedly wrote to Grubbs in another. Grubbs said the affair began in April 2007, and insists their relationship was more than just sex.

"He told me just last month, 'Quietly and secretly we will always be together,'" Grubbs said.

Tales of the golfer's serial flings emerged after he crashed his Cadillac Escalade outside his home on Friday Tales of Woods' sexual adventures began after he crashed his Cadillac Escalade outside his Orlandohome Friday.

The 33-year-old golf great escaped criminal charges for the wreck, but reputation was badly dented by reports he was having an affair with Uchitel.

The New York party girl categorically denied a fling - but the hits kept coming.

Citing unnamed sources, Us reported that Woods had other "dalliances" with a "Las Vegas marketing professional at the MGM grand hotel," with a blond and a brunette at the Turning Stone Resort and Casino inupstate New York and regularly hits on girls at an Orlando bar.

Grubbs, 24, said Woods told her to keep quiet before the National Enquirer broke the story about Uchitel.

"Hey, it's Tiger," Woods reportedly said in a Nov. 24 voice mail. "I need you to do me a huge favor." Woods then explained that his wife "went through my phone and may be calling you," the magazine reported.

"So if you can, please take your name off that." Until now, Grubbs was best known as the girlfriend of Shawn (Loud Mouth Tool) Southern, one of the oafish contestants on VH1's reality series, "Tool Academy."

A man at the home of Grubbs' mother's house in a San Diego suburb said Southern was out of the picture.

Grubbs says her romance with Woods began when the duffer tapped her on the shoulder and said, "You don't look like you're having any fun."

Grubbs said she partied with Woods and his posse and had sex with the golf champ for the first time a few days later in San Diego.

"Afterward, he was like, 'You should probably go,'" she said, explaining that Woods prefers to sleep alone.

Grubbs said they had sex about 20 times and that Woods frequently complained that "his life is overwhelming."

While Woods is one of the world's richest athletes, he often lamented that "he wasn't as financially stable as he wanted to be," she said.

A friend and castmember of Southern's on "Tool Academy," Ryan Matsunaga, said Woods used to call Grubbs on the set, driving Southern bonkers.

"Shawn really cared about Jaimee, and Tiger was calling her when they were dating. Not cool," Matsunaga said.

"When you're an alpha male, that makes you want to put your fist through a wall." Grubbs also apologized to Woods' wife.

"I loved how we got along," she told Us.

"But I knew in the back of my mind there could never be just us. There would always be the wife, or somebody else."

#4 Tiger's Hunter arose from a bushes...

The Tiger Woods scandal continues. TMZ is reporting on a fourth cocktail waitress in the Orlando area, who claims to have had an affair with Tiger. And she is reportedly already lawyered up. And RadarOnline.com is reporting that Tiger and New York party hostess Rachel Uchitel, took the prescription drug Ambien, to enhance their steamy sexual trysts with an Ambien induced haze.

A friend of Uchitel’s said, the 34-year-old professional partier, boasted to friends that she experimented with the insomnia medicine when she had sex with the very married Tiger Woods. Tiger has two young children with his wife Elinand he has been married for five years.

“You know you have crazier sex on Ambien, you get into that Ambien haze. We have crazy Ambien sex,’” Uchitel told friends about her sexual experiences with the world’s greatest golfer.

Uchitel’s attorney, Gloria Allred, would not comment on allegations of Ambien sex trysts or an alleged million-dollar payoff from Tiger to keep quiet. “There will be no other statement today,” Allred said.

Meanwhile, the fourth cocktail waitress, hired Orlando attorney Michael O’Quinn to represent her interests and address any media inquiries. The VIP cocktail server claims to have had an affair with Tiger, which began in 2004 when she was 20-years-old, and she claims the relationship lasted for more than two years.

In another interesting twist, Jamiee Grubbs, cocktail server number two, who released the now infamous voice mail from Tiger, where he is heard begging her to take her name off of her cell phone, because Woods’ wife may call her, is now reported to also be a pot hostess. A former cast member of an MTV reality show, as well as a former Las Vegas waitress, Grubbs, 24, is also an employee in a medical marijuana dispensary.

Tiger Woods, 33, has spent years profiting off of his carefully cultivated squeaky clean image, and now the world is getting a glimpse of the real Tiger.

Meanwhile, The Daily Beast reported that Woods offered his wife Elin Nordegren, 29, a hefty $5 million payment if she agrees to remain in the marriage. Their prenuptial agreement is also being renegotiated, which would offer a higher divorce settlement in a shorter time frame, with a series of staggered payments totalling $75 million over five years.

To collect the payments, Elin would be required to stay with Tiger for seven years from their Oct. 5, 2004 marriage.

Tiger's 'streak' of alleged lovers

Do you expect even more alleged Tiger Woods mistresses to emerge?

Yes, we haven’t heard the last of this.
No, How many more could there be?
  I don’t care.

Three more women say they have played a round with Tiger.

Two more blonds and a brunette were added to Tiger Woods' sultry scorecard Saturday - bringing the married father of two to six over par on his betrayed supermodel wife.

Sources told the Daily News that Manhattan clubgoer Cori Rist, 31, is yet another blond beauty who has hit the sheets with Tiger.

Las Vegas cocktail waitress and aspiring model - Jamie Jungers - became the fifth woman linked to the golf pro Saturday.

Jungers, 26, reportedly hired an Orlando lawyer and prepared to dish her story to a British tabloid, RadarOnline.com reports.

Jungers wasn't the only Orlando woman to come out of the deep rough.

A sixth bedmate surfaced last night - a brunette who reportedly romped with Woods in a church parking lot and in his Florida mansion while his then-pregnant wife was away from home.

Mindy Lawton told the British tabloid The News of the World she carried on a year-long affair with Woods that began in the spring of 2006.

Rist and Woods allegedly met at the Manhattan club Butter last year and have been hooking up ever since.

"One thing led to another, and pretty soon Tiger was flying her to hook up with him on tour," the source said.

"Tiger would typically get a large suite at a hotel. Someone would book Cori an adjacent room, so she wouldn't be seen coming into his room," the source added.

Rist declined to comment Saturday.

Jungers, a busty head-turner, was unavailable for comment Saturdya but updated her status on MySpace.com to say her mood was "anxious."

TMZ.com reported that Jungers and Woods started their affair in the golfer's suburban Orlando home in 2004 when she was 20years old.

Woods, 33, married his wife, Elin Nordegren, in October of that same year.

Lawton, 33, a manager at an Orlando-area Perkins restaurant, said the golfer strolled into the diner for a postround breakfast with pals one day.

Within a month, Lawton said, Woods called the restaurant asking her out on a date. They drank in a roped-off VIP area of a bar, the Blue Martini, after which she followed Tiger to his mansion.

'All he cared about was lust'

Over the next year, Lawton said Woods rendezvoused with her about every two weeks. They would meet in a parking lot before heading back to his home.

"All Tiger cared about was getting me into bed," she said. "There was very little emotion from his side although I fell for him.

"I thought I meant something to him, but all he cared about was lust. He is a selfish, heartless man."

Lawton's sister, Lynn, an Orlando grade-school teacher, told the Mail on Sunday that the golfer failed to practice safe sex with Mindy and "treated my sister like a piece of meat."

"My sister was just a little girl on an hourly wage. ... We knew what he wanted her for. But she wouldn't believe it," Lynn Lawton said.

The golf great's alleged stable of other women includes:

Jaimee Grubbs, the only other woman to publicly admit having an affair with Woods, was also a star on VH1's "Tool Academy" and a saleswoman in a Studio City, Calif., store that sells medical marijuana. Grubbs recently disclosed her affair with the golf star to Us Weekly, providing photos and "racy" text messages Woods sent her. "Send me something very naughty," Woods reportedly wrote in one of them. Rachel Uchitel, the Manhattan woman who has denied sleeping with Tiger, is a VIP hostess at trendy nightclubs in the city and worked at several hot spots in Vegas. Kalika Moquin, 27, a Vegas nightclub executive also denies any affair. The sex scandal exploded last week after Woods mysteriously crashed his car outside his Florida home, reportedly after an argument with his wife about other women.

#10?

Tattle: More names surface on Tiger's scorecard

YOU KNOW WHAT they say about cockroaches: If you've got one, you've got more than one.

Well, for Tiger Woods, they're all coming out of the woodwork.

Really, once there were three did anyone believe the bimbo parade would stop there? When has Tiger ever quit before 18?

As of last night (and granted, there could have been another one last night), the Tiger Tail count was at nine. Now he's only got the back 9 to go.

Last week it started with Rachel UchitelJaimee Grubbs and Kalika Moquin.

Then came Jamie Jungers, a Las Vegas waitress and "Trashy" model who met Tiger in 2005 when she was 22; Cori Rist, 31, whom Tiger met at a Manhattan nightclub (a good golfer has to cock his Rist), and Mindy Lawton, a Perkins restaurant manager from Orlando who met Tiger when he came in for breakfast. Turns out he liked his eggs - and her - over easy.

The London Sun adds in a wealthy Florida "cougar," a British TV hostess and two sexy Las Vegas party girls. That would actually make 10 but we think someone is double-counting, which, in golf, is a violation.

Another unnamed source says porn star Holly Sampson may also have spent some sack time with Tiger, which could bring the total to 11.

Hey, when we hit 10, we just pick up and move on to the next hole.

One can only wonder, at this point, if any Tiger cubs will soon be announced or how many other women will be hiring lawyers to negotiate payoffs. But why should Tiger pay when the cat's already out of the bag and there's payoff money available from other sources? Lawton has already gotten a payday from Britain's News of the World by telling her story (Tiger is well-endowed, fantastic in bed and would do it with her everywhere in his house except in his andElin's bedroom).

Many of the women (and we use that term loosely) say Tiger was very unhappy in his marriage. Maybe that's true. Maybe that's how they justify their behavior.

Either way, Tiger probably won't have to worry about that marriage for too much longer.

'Bruno' pastor seeks office

Don't you hate it when movie stars go into politics?

Jody Trautwein isn't really a movie star, but he is the smiling Alabama pastor who tries to talkSacha Baron Cohen's character out of being gay in "Bruno."

Trautwein hopes his next role will be as mayor of Birmingham.

He is among 14 candidates in next week's election to replace Larry Langford, who was booted from office in October after being convicted on 60 felony counts in a bribery scheme.

Trautwein's scene is played for laughs in "Bruno," but he's running a serious campaign. He has a Web site, fliers, volunteers and a platform that includes fighting crime, improving city schools, expanding the local economy and restoring integrity to City Hall.

"I haven't seen the movie," Trautwein said. "From what I understand it's about an hour-and-a-half of darkness and perversion with about three minutes of light."

Trautwein said he had been duped into appearing in the movie through phone calls from a producer and fake Internet sites set up by Cohen's cohorts. Trautwein said he believed that he was helping a German TV crew tell the story of a man who wanted to give up homosexuality.

In the movie, Trautwein counsels "Bruno" to convert to heterosexuality by believing in Jesus.

"He wants to come into your heart right now," Trautwein says earnestly.

"Are you hitting on me?" "Bruno" deadpans.

Tiger Allegedly Pursued Woman After Car Crash

Tiger Woods pursued Rachel Uchitel after his car crash ... telling her he wanted to be with her -- this according to sources.

We're told in the days following the post-Thanksgiving crash, Tiger Woods repeatedly texted Rachel, telling her he wanted to figure out a way to see her. Mind you ... this is after theNational Enquirer ran the story that Tiger and Rachel had an affair.

It's especially shocking, given what we have already reported -- that the night of the crash Tiger's wife, Elin Nordegren, saw her husband texting Rachel, confronted him, took the phone away and even called Rachel.

Rachel allegedly had an affair with Tiger for two months -- an affair she has told people was "intense" and a "real relationship."

She also told people Tiger had pursued her for 4 months prior to the time they got involved and was very "possessive" and "jealous."

And, one of Rachel's friends says Tiger told her that he loved her.
