Was the GM title in red? If not, he is not a titled player. On chess.com, titles are always in red (if they are official), and on their website, it will tell you that that person is a titled player. Otherwise, it is just a regular player who used the GM in his user name.

Hi, Today I played an anonymous GM today called GM oilmpusmaximus and I won!!! My question is who is he. The username is very suspicious because he has a rating of 3000, from Panama and no profile. I have a feeling that it is Magnus Carlsen and some people agree. Is it true?
