sorry, idk
Whta is the old standard?

It's the Original Starting position, which is used for the Solo Championships, and was the main standard up to 3 months ago
Here's a sample you can check out

EAL, that's the initial position, one of the 16 possible set-ups (2 positions king/queen, 4 players...) and that used to be played for YEARS until a recent reform (April). And that will probably be back on the scene, for many reasons. (It was removed because statistically it was not balanced, it was not good to be green , but strong players do prefer it in average for many reasons, and deal with that imbalance; on the other hand it allowed much more variety in openings than now, in what is call Oma position ; other positions also exist and are actively being promoted in order to become THE standard, like BRSTI).

Back in ye olden days, in the treacherous battlefields of 1|15D FFA, on chess.com/4-player-chess, I was just a younglin' in 2018 pushin' me pawns to the center, hopin' to promote me some queens... I got 3rd in that fateful game and gained rating...
Ok, snapping back to reality, 3rd did gain rating back in the start of 4PC if the player was low rated
I have a question as I just started playing 4PC recently. What is the Old standard?
