so like you lose without resigning or your opponent checkmating you?
in that case it's probably lichess's buggy systems

probably you just lose on time alot
I have no problem playing on lichess
How do I speed up playing chess
btw my strategy is to defend and endgame
Use mostly intuition, and solve lots of tactics so that you can spot them without having to look too hard. If you see a tactic, then just go for it. In bullet, it doesn't matter if you're down a minor piece and some pawns, as long as you have a large time advantage and not too much material loss, then you will win on time easily. Eventually certain patterns will evolve that you can recognize around tactics, opening traps, and endgames as well. Also consider using rather dubious or strange openings in bullet to throw people off their regular theory. For example, the Hillbilly Attack, Sicilian Kan Wing Attack (my favorite opening for any kind of games), and more.
So,
1. Do tactics
2. Train to recognize patterns in your games (go through them in archive, analyze them)
3. (recommendation, you don't have to do this) Use non-standard openings (But learn the theory!)
I know its a long message but that's how I'm decent at bullet right now
So I recently went onto lichess and played a few rounds of bullet, but I cant win. its like I play something like d4 for my opening, castle early, defend, trade off, stay positional and defensive, and I suddenly lost. opponent didn't checkmate me. what the heck??????????
