Why are there few variants?

Read The Classified Encyclopedia of Chess Variants, there are over 20,000 as of the year 2007. About 200 of them made success. I created at least 4 including VorChess, Chess Fissure, and a few others. I have some set up in Castlegar, BC, Canada at the public library in the basement.
VorChess is very fun, and extremely challenging in terms of surprises. Its basically a variantion or Byzantine Chess, or Circular chess.
None of my games are apps yet.
