Better to rule in hell than serve in heaven. Milton 'Paradise Lost'
Why are YOU an Anarchist?

You're giving us a very, very bad name with that particular attitude towards what a stateless society would look like.
In fact, there are, in theory, no rulers in Anarchy. I'm not sure what you are trying to say.

once i realized (because of Chomsky) that institutional thinking replaces the conscience with the gather of prestige, and provides the best reason for horrific decision making that i can think of...well what else becomes of one. i believe the practice of anarchy is the attempt to communicate clearly with the unfettered conscience that lies deep within all people. With the communicaton of conscience the mass mind may thrive.

The state is an entity that concentrates evil and snuffs out benevolence, no matter its numerous pretenses to the contrary. The state is an agent of force that claims to promote justice, its opposite. The state ruthlessly accumulates and maintains monopoly power, in defense of fairness and equality. Everything about the state is dishonest, and therefore dangerous. Meanwhile the "citizens" which are subjected to its taxpayer-supported propaganda are lulled into complacency; the most obedient members of the state are those who expose themselves to the greatest danger. The state's methods of command and control lead directly to the corruption of character, which only serves to make one more suspicious of others and distrustful of organic communities. The loss of trust in community and voluntary association lead people to accept such Hobbesian myths about the danger of nature without the state, so the state is demanded as an answer to the problems created by the state. But if the fear is that evil reigns in the hearts of men, why would one trust concentrated power (especially the monopoly on the legal use of force) in the hands of a select group of men to offer any protection?

Chess is a contest of will. Through winning I force my will on you and you surrender. That means I rule you by forcing my will on you through the channel of superior knowledge. This will always exist even in a stateless society. Only competition will then not be artefically distorted.

I am an ANARCHIST because I believe in law and order.I am an anarchist because I believe that justice is not an autopic dream for dreamers.

First and foremost, to make matters clear, I am a non-statist as well as supporter of capitalism. (I am very aware that many of you would objurgate me for holding what some might call a contradictory position if I used the word, "Anarchist" as in, "person who wants to 'smash' the affluent".) This being said, what brings YOU to oppose the State?
My first answer, in short, is that abstract, ethical principles are broken by governments. Another, (again in short) is the science of Economics - a rather Utilitarian argument.
