Why is the U.S. Government trying to hide the fact that UFOs aren't real from the public?  Please explain, @EndgameEnthusiast2357, @rigelianoid, and @stephan33?

It's the opposite, they want us to think they are real even though it's all bogus, to distract us from their upcoming bad agendas. That congress hearing was a crock, all comedy. It's absurd to assume, that with the extreme specific conditions a planet needs to have to support intelligent life, that there would be a 2nd Earth-like planet with an advanced civilization within 100 light years of Earth. Likewise it's even more ridiculous to assume the technology timelines just so happen to line up so that they are visiting us when we are also just developing space travel. Lunacy.

You seem confused. First, Unidentified Flying Objects certainly exists, but I think you think "UFOs" mean extraterrestrial spacecraft - those are not necessarily the same. All "UFO" literally means is that the authorities haven't identified what the flying object is.

Two, you first establish that extraterrestrial spacecraft, which I believe you are actually asking about, actually exists before you ask why the government doesn't want us to know about them.

No, I meant hypothetically. It's absurd to think that 2 planets within 100 light years of each other would just so happen to have sentient, intelligent, space faring life. I personally don't think there is any other life within at least 50-100 light years of Earth, let alone technological advanced life. All the UFO footage is scam, fake, a hoax..etc. The government is playing us all.

It's hard for the human mind to comprehend just how big space-time is. We can talk about it in abstract terms such as "light years" but we can't really comprehend it. With that being said, in all likelihood if there is any intelligent life in the universe besides on our own planet it's probably too far away in space or too far back in time or too far in the future for us to ever make contact with it while we exist at the same time.
