1. At my rating level nobody does opposite cooperation.
2. There is one pro and two idiots and then there's me, which just results in my untimely 3rd place.
3. Sandbagging is at its best.
4. Sometimes there's a lot less mistakes, which is both good and bad.
5. It's not Bullet/Hyperbullet
6. Playerbase is so big that I rarely get the same opponent and plus a lot less people know English
7. Rating sucks either way.

There was this game where I got 3rd because one person resigned, one person took the resigned king, then immediately got mated by the last person other than me, and me who has "done nothing" loses.

I mean that's gonna happen you can't expect every game to go your way

The thing is, it's not easy to "get to a certain rating" when your opponents don't know how to play. You either have to be lucky or know really well how to win. 4 players make it much more difficult

The thing is that since W4SCC I've mainly been cooperating when I need to, so of course when I see a 2200 (in Rapid too) I expect them to cooperate XD

So I think Tom did a good job responding to your points, but I would add more in terms of "nobody does opposite cooperation". I assume you mean the teams style openings, since people will cooperate if you put someone in check and such.

So I think the thing you are missing is that if you play very well, its actually easier to place high and perform well without teams style openings being involved, since you are way less reliant on how good your opposite is and how they play. With team style openings you can play a game without mistakes and still get 4th (although usually you need to have erred somewhere if the loss is early).

So I think the problem is you need to improve your ffa game, maybe analyze your games or get help analyzing your games (this forum is a good place for that), looking for where you could have played better moves.
