I would give chessbook a try. You can build a reasonable repertoire that is based on what other players at your level play. As you play you can keep tuning your "book"

Broke 1500 after I got some rating points back from a fair play violation. Actually hit a peak of 1493 in bullet but fell back down to 1100 before getting back up. Peaked at 1359 in blitz and a similar story but recently got back up above 1300 across the board so thought that was worth a post.

Hit goal of 1500 in blitz which was great. I think partially owed to the wing gambit for the Sicilian and playing lots of 3 min puzzle rush. Need to get back into rapid, was one game away from 1600 there but promptly fell back down.
Excited to get back into studying chess! I did the beginner plan a year or two ago and that helped bring up my rapid rating from like 400 to ~1200. Want to try and lock in for another couple months and see where I can get. I am feeling pretty good about the study plan except for when it comes to openings. I am pretty much only an e4/e5 kind of player and against d4/c4 I go for the KID (although I don't feel like I have a very good idea as to what I am doing there). Would love some advice on how to best study and really learn openings (or if there are good places to look for creating my own personal opening database). I have kind of avoided really learning openings and it's mostly just vibes but I think that is starting to be a little limiting. Lemme know if you have any ideas there.
