B. They do not adequately describe the teaming situation in FFA
Therefore, I propose the following, which would pop-up to show new players and be on the top of the rules menu.
What you need to know
FFA Teams
Object of the Game: Get the most points Checkmate one of the opposing team members
How? Checkmates worth 20 Team with the player across from you by using arrows
Queens 9
Rooks/Bishops 5
Knights 3
Pawns 1
Pawns Promote when? 8th rank; 11th
What happens when you checkmate someone? 20 points/pieces worth nothing; you win!
Teaming? A. you can choose to cooperate/help whomever you want (or nobody at all); cooperate with the player across from you
B. You can influence players in board to help you (don't take pieces/give them an opportunity to checkmate), but you cannot ask them to help you or tell them where to move; use arrows to provide suggestions
Then perhaps give examples of what is or is not legal, and then a link to more comprehensive rules.
Sorry about the formatting. Obviously some of the wording needs improved/simplified, and perhaps some of the things should be taken out. Any feedback is appreciated.
I believe this will be very helpful in regards to the rules, and I hope the admins will consider my proposal.
yes caleb I made this similar proposal a short time ago, I like the idea, it is still under study. I consider that I should add a paragraph that talks about this, and can avoid confusion in new players.
As of now, there are two problems with the rules.
A.They are a bit long, so people don't read them
B. They do not adequately describe the teaming situation in FFA
