I watched the Slovenia-US game with a bunch of my fellow college freshmen. The mood in our room was electric. Everytime there was a score or good/bad call the shouts went up and we attracted passersby who wanted to see what was going on.
US had better beat Algeria this Wednesday.
We do that in the student union here. There was an orientation group going by, caused a really funny reaction.
The US just had a goal stolen in the US-Algeria game!!!!
We scored, they called offsides, but upon review, we were even with the defender.
We had better not lose because if we do, some refs had better go into witness protection.
How is the UK-Slovenia match going?
Bummer, I am REALLY rooting for Slovnia in that match.
HM, truth is that USA and UK both won with 1-0, and both got through...

OK, that comment may have been mean, but I'm still a bit sore about the goal that was stolen in our game with Slovenia. I am glad for that reason they didn't move on. Also, England really outplayed Slovenia.
