My best chess memory was going to Nashville in 2013 for the Supernationals, I learned notation on the drive there and even won my first game in the unrated section. I went on to lose another game by blundering an en passant capture, to add to the pain my opponent had just offered a draw before hand. Another game I lost misdefending an early queen attack. The Grand Ole Opry hotel was incredible. I'll never forget the hundreds, maybe thousands, of chess boards in the enormous halls. Hopefully I'll play in an OTB tournament again someday, but for now just practicing.

*Update* I've played in a few local tournaments now and picked up some trophies including a 4/4 point, second place finish in a u1200 section @ Canton.
