Hello! My name is Suhaas, and I'm a chess coach offering private lessons and afterschool lessons. I currently work for Chessmates in Fort Collins, CO and my current USCF rating is 2132. Please feel free to reach out with any questions about coaching or other preparation.

I started learning chess when I was 4 and competed in my youth. I won scholastic state championships frequently and was in the top percentiles for rating at my age. I started coaching in high school and college, teaching afterschool and private lessons for K-12.

With my background, my speciality is in youth chess (K-12) and navigating the competition scene. After 4+ years of experience, I have set lesson plans spanning the basics of game phase, strategy, tactics, and more. However, I also enjoy developing tailored lessons and organizing plans for regular clients. I'm also expanding my services to offer training plans and opening preparation outside of 1 on 1 coaching. I've recently been on the improvement track and can help other adult improvers with their game as well.
