The queen protects the king be all means, for her power is resolute. However the act of standing beside the king is by far the most important power that strengthens her and bonds the game together. 

the kings bishop... the queens bishop. the queens knights pawn. the kings knights pawn. All are from the power of the Silent king and the determined Queen. 

In chess there is gentleness and stillness, as well as determination and strength. Balance these two.. and you will become the greatest chess player in the world.
