While you will, without a doubt, need a handful of special and unusual skills to meet your expectation as a TCOF Administrator, we also want to make sure that you have the basic understanding of what your powers as a Super Admin are and how you can best use them.

The controls:

The controls you will need to access for using your abilities in the club are underneath the “manage club” section on the club’s homepage. If you are accessing chess.com on a mobile phone, you can find these by scrolling to the very bottom of the homepage. If you are on a laptop or desktop, these controls can be found in a sidebar along the right side of the screen assuming your device is in full screen mode. This are what all of those controls do:

1. new match

The first option is to make a new match. Here, you can create a daily match against another club. You can challenge a specific club, or perform a random seek which chooses the first available club to play a match against.

2. new live match

This is the same concept as #1, though in a live format as opposed to daily chess.

3. Created live challenges

Here, you can see all the live challenges you are your fellow staff have issued from the club.

4. open live challenges

You can see the challenges which your club has issued that have not yet been accepting by an opponent.

5. New vote chess

create a type of team match call vote chess and often referred to as vc in which clubs work together in a game and vote in the move for their squad to make.

6. New live tournament

This is the same as a live match, however it pits the members of the club against one another in a club specific tournament only available to members of TCOF and with no outside opponent.

7. new daily tournament

Same as #6, however the games are played in daily style.

8. post news

Here you can post an announcement to the entire club which will show up on the private message of all club members.

9. Invite members

you can select people by username to send a personal invitation to TCOF featuring the club’s public description.

10. ban a member

If a member is creating trouble and no other super admins are online, you can use this tool to remove that member and prevent them from returning to the club.

11. Manage landing page

This is a somewhat strange and relatively new feature in clubs. @CDRED141 and @hughienews will deal with this.

12. Club audit log

A time by time record of all events which take place in the club such as invitations sent, notes and forums deleted, members leaving and joining, etc. with the times that these events took place.

13. Remove closed accounts

this will remove all inactive accounts from TCOF. Please do not do this without permission from leadership.

14. Sync member count

This will check the exact member count of the club and ensure it’s being displayed properly on the homepage.

15. club settings

these are the settings for the entire club. Please never edit these without explicit permission from the owner or co owner.
