General Rules of World Cities League

- Only a group of at least ten members can access the league.

- The minimum number of players allowed per game in order to be valid is eight. If a team dispose less than 8 players at the deadline, the opponent team can decide to start the game or to win it without match, by the rules.

- Vacation are allowed, with the recommendation that it uses as little possible.

- Time to challenge the group is seven days, then the group must be locked. All teams must have locked their teams at the latest by official start date of the round. If not locked, it will be penalized according to already established rules.

- Teams on the left side should send a challenge, but also teams from the right side can do that for them, if they have not received any challenge.

- Cities that in this season does not respond to more than 50% of challenges, will not be able to participate in the league next year.

- System that we will play in the league is a single round-robin and top teams advance to the playoffs (knockout phase in a one match).

- Teams from groups, who had not qualified for the knockout stage, establish a new groups. All third-placed will establish one group, another group placed fourth and fifth placed third group. This group will play round robin system. Points won in these new groups will be added to the existing points from the previous group. From the group formed by the third-ranked, the top two teams go to the first division, while last turns to the second division. From groups that have formed the fourth and fifth placed, we will seek a final order in the bottom of the table. Also, these teams will play next year in second league.

- If the teams in the group equal to the number of points we would apply the elimination system:

1) Who has more team victories

2) Who has more individual victories (in first eight table)

3) Who has more individual victories with black pieces (in first eight table)

- League should be played out on an annual basis.

- If a player is kicked out for cheating by Chess. com, all of its matches will be declared lost, but his team will not be further penalized.

- After completion of one round of matches in the forum in main group will be appointed the official results and standings.

- The 1st tournament start no later than March 1st.

- A player can get into the team and from nearby (50km-80 miles) small towns.

- One player will not be able to play for two different teams in the league, but he can belong to several teams and play other games. If such case occurs in a match, that parties will be annulled.

- Scoring system is W - 3; D - 2; L - 1; who not accept the challenge (-1)

-Penalty for each day of delay lock team is -1 points, starting within 48h. After 4 days the team loses the match with 0 points, and 0 points for first 8 table if the team enters the system due to the elimination of equal points.

- New round in group stage will begin every 25 days.

- All matches in groups must be completed prior to September 10st, when started the knockout stages and playoffs for other places. All matches which had not be finished, we will put on the analysis of a chess program and if he gives more than 6-point advantage for a player, he win. Otherwise would be declared a draw.
