Chessmaster is a chess-playing computer game series developed by Ubisoft, a French enterprise, and released in 1986. It is the best-selling chess franchise in history, with more than five million units sold as of 2002.

In 2004 the Chessmaster 10th Edition was published for Windows XP. It was manufactured also in the city of Manaus, Brazil, a Free Economic Zone of the country (Zona Franca de Manaus).
