These are some poems and songs I wrote:

You were there...I just didn't see You.

I was too blind.

I was walking, and You walked behind me.

I started running, and You ran behind me.

Until, suddenly, You were in front of me.

I shut my eyes as You told me to look at you.

I covered my ears as You called my name.

I didn't want You...but You wanted me....

Deep down, I was cold and dead.

Until You touched me...

I didn't love You, but You loved me.

I fought to get free from Your embrace.

Until I knew I could fight no more.

As I walked, You walked with me.

As I ran, You ran with me.

As I shut my eyes, You looked at me.

As I covered my ears, You called my name.

As I fought, You embraced me.

As I collapsed, You held me.

As I wept, You comforted me.

As I sobbed, You cradled me.

As I cried I was sorry, You forgave me.

All the times I'd rejected You, You had loved me.

I whispered, "Father."

You whispered, "Daughter."

I whispered, "Daddy."

You whispered, "Child."

I whispered, "Thank you..."

You whispered, "Welcome home."

I whispered, "Don't leave me..."

You whispered, "I will never leave thee nor forsake thee."

Once again, I whispered, "Thank you."

And You said, "Now, my daughter, follow me."

And now, to this very day, I say with triumph and joy, six words:

"I AM A CHILD OF GOD."

You asked me, "Who do you say I am?"
And my reply was, "You are the perfect and spotless Lamb.
The One who died for me.
The One who took my pain.
The One who took my cross.
The One who set me free."
And you asked, "How did I set you free?"
And I replied, "By dying for me.
When You carried that cross, it was so I could turn to it.
When Your hands were nailed, it was so you could hold me up when i couldn't stand.
When Your feet were nailed, it was so You could walk with me.
When your side was pierced, it was so I could walk at Your side.
When you were lowered down that cross and into the cave, it was so I could rise up and meet you in the clouds.
So, You ask me, who do I say You are?
You are the Christ. Son of the living and Most High God. The One who takes the Sins from the world. THE ONE WHO SETS US FREE....

Though we didn't expect you to be so tiny.

Though it was a little while before I could hold you.

Before you came out of the womb, I loved you.

I was afraid I'd drop you.

I was afraid you wouldn't like me.

Even some of the scariest, worst thoughts came to mind while you were being born.

I would dream about you.

I saw pictures of you when you were born.

But it was when I met you, that I knew you'd be my little buddy.

I'm not sure what your name would have been if you'd been a boy.

But you, a little, special baby girl.

Your name,

is ELIANA JOY

And joy is what you bring me......

And these words hurt me badly, I will say

But our days ahead of playing shall never be boring

Then at the ends of those days, I'll tell you this story:

Faith is a beautiful thing,

Yet like a paradox in a way,

You need to pray for faith,

But you need it to pray,

Faith causes love and love causes faith,

As you gathered in a circle and prayed so hard,

All of the precious, beautiful, words,

They came from the heart,

The idea of praying came from Adonai above,

And that is why I call it love and faith!

And that is why I call it,

Faith and Love!

When I look into your eyes, I see a warrior. When I hear your voice, I hear a prince. When I see you stand tall, I see a child of God. People may judge you, but I simply love you. People may laugh at you; I simply laugh at them. When they make fun of you for being a music nerd, I’ll just shoot back that they’re jealous they can’t do music themselves. You don’t have to do or say anything special to be my favorite because you being you is enough. There is nothing else I can say than thank you.
