I'd love to see photos! A Classic shows up on eBay from time to time but the bidding goes wild at the end and they've all been plastic. I can't imagine what a wood version would go for.

Does anyone know if any Peter Ganine “Classic” chess sets were produced or accurately reproduced in wood? I have a set that looks right (piece sizes are identical and the pieces are stamped in script Peter Ganine C 1961), but I can’t find any information on a wooden version. Thanks for any information you can provide.
