"either raped, either veiled" was the point, it is all over now, Saudi Prince makes a big reosrt for tourism, gint (alcohool inside, women driving, really really unveiled women inside, i guess, Sea, sex ans sun and chess too, Only ole' scottish widows will keep the veil in Edinburgh, just saying).

Veil is NOT religious duty in any religion, what seem to ignore people, just modesty !!!!!

To wear a hajib in a muslim country is a social tradition and sometimes mandated by law.  Everyone in that country knows you are a foreigner and probably not a musilim.  Some women won't wear a hajib because they feel it is caving in to the oppression of women.  But after having travelled to many countries, living in some of them, and observing how women in the west often treat other women in the west with less respect than they treat men, I don't view the hajib as a ctirical issue.  Muslim and other women have to conform to western laws when they viist western countries, which means they can not wear a full veil in public in most western countries.  For a Saudi woman, that is a BIG deal.  So, if the very conservative muslim women can tolerate western social rules for clothing when they visit, then I think it's okay for non-muslim women to dress appropriately when they visit a muslim country.  Keep in mind that in some countries, you are actually safer if you dress very conservatively.
