As you all know FIDE might actually have a good president for once! Kasparov is running for FIDE president, do you think he will win? His opponent gave the chess federations of a bunch of countries a lot of money (he owns an oil company so he is a multimillionare) to support chess, do you think kasparov will win?

"To have a good FIDE president or not to have a good FIDE president, that is the question"

...

ok, i totally screwed up that last quote but really, do you think he will win or not?

I hope Kasparov wins, whether he will or not is a different story.  I wasn't aware that his opponent was in the oil business...only the most evil of businessmen are involved in oil and I would venture that he will try and buy his victory like any other politician.  Hopefully Kasparov is earnest in his wanting to be FIDE president for CHESS and not for his personal legacy.

I'm not sure what would change if he were elected.  How exactly is he going to make chess more marketable?

Is he going to change the format to the world championship?  If not, why does he think sponsors will all of a sudden be interested?
