The Block Bypass Thread!

The notion that blocking someone infringes on the first amendment is something I find quite ridiculous. They can still say whatever they want, your blocking them does nothing to inhibit that.

Picture this, do you watch the news? There are some news sources you may not agree with, so you do not watch them. Just because you ignore what they have to say doesn't mean that you are stopping them from saying anything. Freedom of speech remains intact, you just choose not to listen to their spewings, which you have every right to do.

It's more like site banning for dumb reasons thats a 1A violation. Private companies are given too much power when it comes to censoring. Blocking just bans you from certain threads, so it isn't as bad.

The-Danger-Zone

Why would blocking someone infringe the first amendment? Technically you have rights to block them. And also there is nothing in the US Constitution That says you can't block someone. Lol.

EndgameEnthusiast2357

They do have rights to block them. And people have the right to create threads to evade such blocks.

The-Danger-Zone

Exactly

If climate change comes in cycles than yes you have a graph much longer than a million years. The spike is on co2 emissions, not in temperature. Those temp spikes can be seen hundreds of other times in the planets history. The spike in co2 in the last 150 years doesn't negate the fact at all that in general co2 emissions follow temp changes and not the other way around. It's extraneous info, and this is the problem with climate science, false interpretations of data by even the top scientists.

Maybe an accurate cartoon can convince you.

i love xkcd. What If? What If 2? How To, Thing Explainer

I hate this talk of climate change.

Quick Question How did the Big Bang Even Happen?

EndgameEnthusiast2357

Alright that is a fair enough graph as the units and spacing are consistent. But a 4-5 degree C increase isn't a big deal, especially over a 50-100 year period. I have a feeling though that even that "current path" prediction is an exaggeration. I wouldn't call global warming a problem until the average planet temp is higher than 75 degrees Farenheit. So we still have 12-13 degree F increases to burn before we need to worry about it, and we will likely have much more advanced environmental technology by then anyway. So we are wasting our time now. We still need giant space magnifying glasses in geosynchronous orbit over cold regions of the Earth to help concentrate the sunlight onto those areas and warm them up.

The-Danger-Zone

If we burned all the fossil fuels on earth it wouldn't cause much more than a 1 degree Celsius change in the average temperature

I don't know. And I don't care.

The-Danger-Zone

Lol. Same. Question for all the scientists out there, if the Universe was a bunch of high pressure... whatever you want to call it, get there? Something would have to have created it. Orrrrrrr Christians are right.

The-Danger-Zone

Christians are right anyways

Back to the fantasies, I guess.
