me
hi, i used to give lesson to beginners under 1000 a while ago. You can add me and arrange some games with analysis afterwards.
Happy to play I am picking it up after 35 years and am not great but I do not like playing extremely slowly.
Blitz is a time length of basically five minutes in length with or without extra time per move. After writing this comment, I started to appreciate playing longer games, typically 10 minutes or longer.
Message me if you want to play a game. I'll even annotate it with thoughts and comments afterwards. If you take me up on the offer, I'm indifferent to the time control you choose. Of course though, longer time controls are better, just because if you're hoping to learn, it helps if you have time to think through the position.
I'm a little higher rated but just as prone to errors as anyone. Would be happy to play a daily game if you send me an invite or message me. Maybe there is a way to play with a handicap, say a knight or rook, to keep it competitive?
Sounds good, though I am a good loser and would rather not play involving handicaps. If you are better than me and beat me more fine I can live with that. I am playing my friend this afternoon who is roughly the same level. Early 600s, another friend is around 1100 but he always beats me (except once) and it is less fun or interesting. So great any day but today. Let me know.
I'm rated around 650 in blitz but want to start playing longer matches. If someone of a higher rating has time to play a few long matches that would be appreciated.
