I think a similar forum brought up David's absence in conversation. chess.com staff are like most other jobs in that they do not work 24/7 and they get vacation days allotted. The way I understand it is that @david is merely on vacation. Also, this doesn't mean that @david hasn't been on chess.com for this long; it just means that his "work account" hasn't been active since then. Chess.com staff can have one account for "work" (mod/staff powers) and a "personal" account for chess and forums etc.
Maybe @david is following this forum now? Who knows?
p.s. I am not @david, nor do I have any current position with chess.com staff - just parroting something another chess.com staff member said in another forum
