Um explain it in a way that doesn't hurt my head pls. "and using it as an analogy for posts going missing which removes context from a forum topic is valid." makes some more sense

You may not understand it (retcon), but it is a well established term in the storytelling community, and using it as an analogy for posts going missing which removes context from a forum topic is valid.
