IIama03 you really are so childish. The only way you can get back at someone, is by criticizing them for their grammar, or because the post emojis , or that they post on topics that are full of children. You’ll have to do a lot better then that if you want to “ upset “ me ....... you’re just a poor individual, who has nothing more in his life , than his chess ratings . You really are pathetic and you need to look at your own caricature for what it’s worth.

Childish?! Says Mr @KayKnight... when you say the K, sounds just like a G... hehe... hehetee... which, snicker, snicker... sounds like a knight who... hehe... likes other knights... snicker, snicker. So mature. At least @llama talks about Chess on occasion, only thing you do... moan, complain, criticise, make jokes about Catnip... and anybody who has a rating one point above yours... you abuse them and decree them a worthless loser?! Well @llama has a rating 400 points or so Higher than you... which makes you... a bit of a loser. Bed for kitty, please.

And we adults can use the letter F... when we want. Don't need your permission.

One of my first posts back, I made a long post (with pictures!) and argument in the cheating forum.

One of them responded with a simple post (basically asking "what"?)

And then when I explained a little his next post was only two characters: "?!"

I was so disgusted I blocked him for a few days haha.

So yeah, I feel like we're similar, or at least you understand where I'm coming from

I had my time there, but they are so convinced that their t1, t2 and so on sytem is great, that it is pointless.

NO chess site will ever catch clever cheaters until they incorporate a human behavioural algorythm into their detection processes.

But they all like to claim they are the best at cheater detection..but none of them are.

Ooops I hear a " it is not appropriate to discuss cheating here, please join the cheating forum and discuss it there"...... coming along

From what I understand the cheat detection chess.com uses is pretty sophisticated these days. It's a long video, so I did my best at finding the point after which he talks about cheat detection.

But sure, I agree that it's very hard (and in some cases impossible) to catch a clever cheater.

I think the trade off, though, is that an uncatchable cheater is limited by the amount of points (s)he can boost their rating. For example I imagine (I've never tried) that I could boost my rating one or two hundred points without risk of being caught, if I really put in the effort... but such effort is so enormously petty that I'd never be interested in trying... maybe if they wanted to pay me for it haha.

llama

Have a nice day cat-n-socks, I honestly don't hate you or anything

llama

I mean, they at least have the trappings of sophistication

At some point he says they have a paid consultant who is a statistician who studied at Harvard.

Sure T3/4 stuff is basic, but their secret proprietary stuff is supposedly the industry leader in chess cheat detection.

llama

Wait, you guys are all cats (lions are cats too right?) Maybe you could smoke the peace pipe (play with the catnip toy) and become friends

A dent in your armor ???

I was thinking more of putting you outside into the garden for half an hour, and depriving you of your favourite cat biscuits till tomorrow !

So, my first dog was really... an odd choice? An extreme choice?

I was his 3rd owner, he was about 5 or 6 years old. Victim of abuse and neglect. I learned a lot about dogs just by owning him (and doing some reading).

But part of the oddity was, I didn't know what was and wasn't normal or expected of dogs and dog owners. This dog had grown up on a farm. So our routine was, around midnight, he'd scratch at the door to be let out, and I'd just open the front door and let him out into the neighborhood. No collar, nothing to identify him.

He'd come back 4 or more hours later and scratch at the door to be let back in. We did this every day.

Looking back I know it's very much not normal.

One time he even came back bleeding form his leg. I think he'd gotten into a fight with a dog.

When you put a bunch of children on an unsupervised playground, this is what happens.  And then you throw in parents (staff/moderators) that dont believe in holding those children accountable.

And here's another user who never has anything positive to say about anyone or anything.

You like to criticize other people's behavior but you seem to turn a blind eye to yourself... I mean, obviously it's probably more the opposite, i.e. you're so upset internally that you vent by diminishing others, but even so, the surface level hypocrisy is hard to ignore.

One of the most positive people around. Look to yourself.

You're saying he's positive? Look, talking about Jesus doesn't make you positive, it just makes you a Christian (usually).

keto is about as positive as Pfren i.e. not at all.

Look to myself? Look over the last few posts. I can joke around and enjoy people. I never see keto doing this.

llama

godspawn, bacon, he's that guy right?

llama

He's been positive in the past, but these days I only see him criticize people.

llama

Haha, yeah, you called it.

But he is a new guy and he is the OP, so I don't blame him

@OP, this sometimes happens. After a topic has run its course so to speak, it becomes sort of a chat room.

Yeah that is basically how the chess world works like it or not, The higher rating you have the more respect you get

autobunny

Well it's still mostly about toxicity. And a bit on socks.  For the record, the bunny doesn't think @nylonsock and @kaynight are related.

RonaldJosephCote

I don't think cottonsocks is Kaynight.....Kay was an author who read a lot. He knew how to use words.

RonaldJosephCote

Llama,....the same thing happened with me & Trysts yrs ago. We got into a big tussle once, and then I started offering her an olive branch....... she wouldn't have none of it.

Lion_kingkiller

Resentment, envy and jealousy pour from the sock kitten... like muck from a sewer.

RonaldJosephCote

I didn't know much about pdela, but yeah, I probably did along with Macer & others.

RonaldJosephCote

Funny Kaynight story:...... he was being attacked by 4 women once in a thread on a Fri night. They we're going at it for like 30-40 mins. When I saw it I said.....hey buddy, why didn't you call for backup?  He said,..."well I was trying but they wouldn't give me a chance. lol.

That's too bad. I didn't know that about her.
