Yes. It is good. But does your recent 900 point increase in your puzzles rating reflect a jump in your chess skills or did you just figure out that the puzzles you were being served were mostly easy and you could farm them for points?
As you may have noticed, chess.com has been changing things related to puzzles. There have been frequent complaints that the puzzles are all easy now. Another moderator has offered the explanation that the puzzles are in the process of being re-rated and pointed out that you can choose the puzzles difficulty level in your puzzles settings.
As I understand it, they intend to bring puzzle ratings more in line with other ratings. As it stands now, many people have a dramatically higher puzzles rating than game playing rating.
How this would happen is unclear. They made a revision in puzzle scoring about 10 years ago that quickly knocked hundreds of points off almost everyone's ratings and people were decidedly unhappy.
That would imply that a dramatic reduction in average puzzle ratings might happen. I hope you wouldn't take that too hard.
Hi Chess folks!
I’ve recently found the joy in solving Puzzles. I have now a peak of 2730 in Puzzle Rate. Is that good?
I have not taken any courses or joined clubs. Just found it fun solving Puzzles. I usually play Bullet. 1 min.
Cheers
