pfren ftw
@Lion v @pfren... get it ON

Little kitten has been crying to the mods again... reporting people for banter, while making comments like above.

Pfren is a great poster who has provided the readers of this fine forum with wonderful advice on a number of chess related topics. A toast to our dear IM!
Yes. When he comments in relation to my comments it is only ever to show my misunderstanding at the higher level stuff.

Blocked and Reported. Obviously, from a psych point of view... a very fragile ego, filled with resentment. Note, he has about a dozen posts here, attack after attack after attack, with offensive signs. Only thing he does on the forum... moan, complain, attack people, report people. Never talks about Chess. Lion likes a little banter and bicker, but I make lots of serious Chess points too. For some reason I make him Furious... probably an attention thing... he once vowed to Never go on forum again, if I was there?! Let's hope he does so... he won't be on thread again.
@nylonsock... talking about.

Please think of the children. Perhaps get a room?
Next up, we demand The Bunny vs @pfren.

As for the match comments... people being abusive, stuff like... hey loser, @pfren would kick your butt in a few moves etc., I just skim over. Many might not be aware... @pfren has been defeated otb recently... by 17s and 18s and juniors. His skills are on the wane. Lion ranks around 2025 on L site rapid... probably inflated, but still a good rating. Ratings on here are weird... Most of my games have been fast blitz, played with a drink and a crap connection. Sober Lion has gained near 200 points, in 2 weeks. If I were playing otb, fide rated... my approach would be very different. And I would have nearly 3 hours to make moves. Having viewed a dozen or so @pfren games... not much to be feared. Quiet, conservative play. Good, not Great. A sober, focused Lion could get the W.

"If ifs and ands were pots and pans". Or, as Russians say: "if my aunt had a d**k, she would be my uncle".

I will be surprised if @pfren will respond to this thread.
He never posted in this thread~ even tho it's been around for years.

He might be up for a pfrenly match tho... Who knows?

My parents had this little terrier dog when I was a kid, like, 10 lbs, and one time it met this enormous dog, might have even been a great dane (200 lbs dog).
Well, being a terrier, it was fearless and wanted to kill every dog it ever met. The big dog hardly knew or cared the little one existed, but it did bend down to sniff, and when it did, the terrier tried to bite its throat. I'm not kidding, but it was so tiny it couldn't even get past the fur, and the big dog completely ignored it lol.

A compact dog can often cow away a much larger breed. Large dogs often have a quite serene disposition... english sheepdog, a favourite.

+1
It is, indeed, very cool to have a titled player giving their opinion on chess related issues.
The last time @pfren played a game on here was 2017, so im rooting for Lion.
