I have politely said sorry, no thank-you to no avail as well. It can be annoying!
go to settings, and go to privacy and tell click on "ONLY FRIENDS" for send and receive messages! 
this way u can only get messages from them and if it happens again unfriend them!

Can y'all stop sending me club invites in the form of notes or DMing? It's annoying. I don't mind if you sent me actual club invites but not in the form of messages. Why isn't there a feature to block that sort of message from coming in?
