Nobody has the book?
Akiba Rubinstein's biography by Ruzuvaev

There's a Rubinstein biography? I'd like to know about it especially if it doubles as a heavily annotated game collection. He was probably the greatest player (with the possible exception of Aronian, though Aronian is objectively speaking but I mean compared with contemporaries) who was never world champion due to his amazing endgame technique.
Here he defeats none other than Max Euwe using the dubious Nimzo-Sicilian.

Yes I have the book , in two languages : the original in Russian and wonderful edition of the Italian Prisma .
If you ask me , of all the books I have about Akiba , this is what stands out for the quality of the analyzes and especially the formidable strategic explanation of games, but... Razuvaev was a great chess commentator and a great chess coach .
Of course the 2 volumes of Donaldson - Minev are required in any library , as the Kmoch book.
The weakest book I have on Rubinstein 's Viktor Glatman " Akiba Rubinstein 's Chess Academy ." poor and well know analyzes and in "Informator" Style
I have a book written in Spanish by Rubinstein himself ( at least it is in the first person ) with is games edited by Julio Ganzo " La Partida de Ajedrez" . There is some debate about the truth of Rubinstein be the author, but the similarity of the text , the form of writing and analysis ( very brief ) , of Rubinstein in Chess Reviews like Shakhmaty , Kagans Neuste Schachnachrichten , and so on , the book is sure Rubinstein himself, or the majority of the comments ( some by Ganzo, another from Reti, and so on) are.
So hurry! Buy The Rubinstein of Razuivaev and Murakhveri Prisma in Italian .
A shame chess : this book is not translated in English !
The usual editorial stupidity. It is preferable the millionth edition of Rubinstein System of the Nimz... Ghr! Grh!
But ... if you want the best article ever wrote about Akiba Rubinstein, and perhaps about chess and endings, then one of the best books ever writen "Learn from The Legends - Chess Champions at their best" - Mihail Marin ! What a book, and 50 pages on Rubinstein's endings , are unbelievable beauty, clear ideas, to see e one of the best, if not the best endings's player of all time.
Current Top GM top, still have to study very, very much "to get the heels" of Akiba in this stage of the game. Some needed Averbach's Basic Endings!
Thanks by remembering a great, great book!

The Russian Edition

The Italian

Glatman's Rubinstein ( Very poor book!)

Rubinstein by himself?

The Fantastic Marin!
Well... some Rubinstein Books

I couldn't make it through the first game of the "Masterpieces" book (the one depicted with the pink cover) there were so many annotation errors.

The problem with Rubinstein was that he had serious psychological issues. He walked away from the board after making a move in order not to disturb his opponent. He was extremely shy. Antropophobia is the medical term, it seems.
He should have bought an "inflatable chess player" and used it to practice sitting opposite a live person in an OTB game. I checked with the Wikipedia, and the technology was available at the time. Inflatable rubber boats were already in use in mid nineteenth century (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inflatable_boat). An inflatable chess player could have cured him of his phobias, which would have given Rubinstein a shot at the WCC title. Alas, this bright idea did not occur to the man...

The pot calling the kettle black

I took the book, I still haven't yet begun to study it, but I read a few pages and the annotations seem good.
