As far as I can tell, these are Russian chessmen made of bone. I would assume these were made either in the late 19th or early 20th century, but do not know for sure. A similar set was recently sold on Etsy. The asking price was around 300 US$, if I remember correctly. It sold in the meantime, but I cannot tell, if it really fetched the amount. Anyhow, a beautiful set you have there, congratulations. Do you plan to have the white King restored? I think it would be well wort the effort.
